Radical Resilience & Navigating Change: The New Playbook for Leading Under Pressure

Today’s leaders are operating in a level of sustained pressure that traditional leadership strategies were never designed to handle.

What once drove performance—pushing harder, carrying more, staying constantly “on”—is now leading to burnout, disconnection, and diminishing effectiveness.

In this powerful and deeply human keynote, Carey-Ann Oestreicher—CEO, MBA, former Vice President, and Master Certified Executive Coach (MCC)—shares a profoundly personal journey through unexpected adversity, including a life-altering brain injury and the loss of her husband, alongside her work advising senior leaders across industries.

But this is not a story about hardship.

It’s a strategic reframe of what resilience actually looks like at the highest levels of leadership today.

Blending real-world leadership insight, neuroscience-informed perspective, and practical tools, Carey-Ann equips leaders with a new way to navigate pressure, lead through uncertainty, and sustain performance—without losing themselves in the process.

This session is designed to be more than inspiring—it’s an interactive, reflective experience that creates immediate shifts in how leaders think, lead, and operate.

    Participants Will Leave With:

-A clear understanding of why what got them here is no longer enough in today’s environment of constant change

-Practical tools to regulate pressure in real time and avoid burnout while maintaining performance

-A new leadership lens that balances results and humanity—without compromising either

-Strategies to lead through uncertainty with greater clarity, stability, and confidence

-Insight into how to build resilience as an individual and as a leadership culture

-A personal reflection on where they may be overextending, over-functioning, or carrying too much—and what to do about it

    Interactive Elements Include:

-A short guided reset to demonstrate how quickly leaders can shift their internal state under pressure

-Small-group or paired reflection on the real pressures leaders are carrying right now

-A practical exercise to identify what needs to change in how they are currently leading

-A closing integration moment to anchor one immediate, actionable shift

Purpose Under Pressure: Reconnecting to What Drives You to Lead at Your Best

Many leaders don’t lose their drive.

They lose their connection to what’s driving them.

And when that happens, leadership can start to feel heavier, less clear, and more reactive—despite working harder than ever.

It doesn’t show up immediately. It shows up over time—in decision fatigue, reduced energy, misalignment, and a quiet questioning of impact.

    Not because leaders aren’t capable.
But because they’ve become disconnected from the deeper sense of purpose that once fueled how they led.

In today’s environment of constant demand and expectation, that connection isn’t a luxury.

    It’s a leadership advantage.

In this powerful and interactive keynote, Carey-Ann Oestreicher—CEO, MBA, former Vice President, and Master Certified Executive Coach (MCC)—guides leaders through a strategic and deeply personal exploration of purpose.

Drawing from her own lived experience through profound life disruption, alongside years of advising senior leaders, Carey-Ann reframes purpose as something far more practical than most leadership conversations suggest.

Because when leaders are aligned with what matters most, they don’t just feel better. They lead better.

    Participants Will Leave With:

-A clearer understanding of what truly drives them—and how that shapes their leadership effectiveness

-Insight into how disconnection from purpose shows up as burnout, misalignment, and reduced clarity

-Practical tools to reconnect to purpose in real time—not just in reflection, but in action

-A stronger ability to make decisions aligned with both performance and values

-Greater confidence in how they lead, communicate, and influence others

-A renewed sense of direction, energy, and ownership in their leadership role

    Interactive Elements Include:

-A guided reflection to uncover what is currently driving vs. draining their leadership

-A structured exercise to identify where they are out of alignment—and the cost of staying there

-Small-group or paired discussion on what purposeful leadership looks like in their real-world context

-A closing integration moment to define one intentional shift they will make immediately.

“When leaders lose connection to why they lead, they start leading on autopilot—and that’s where performance quietly erodes.”

    Mindfulness Changes Everything

The way we’re working is not working. During the COVID pandemic, many people began to reassess the busy rat race that was becoming our normal way of life. As human beings, we are not meant to operate in the same linear fashion that our computers do: continuously, at high speeds, for long periods, running multiple programs at the same time. That’s unsustainable and there is a richness to the human experience that we deny ourselves of when we work and live this way.

CEO of Potential Unlimited Carey-Ann Oestreicher was living life in the fast lane. She felt like she was running on all cylinders all the time until the day everything came to a crashing halt for her.

In 2012, Carey-Ann experienced a life-changing brain injury when she fainted during a stand-up x-ray at a medical clinic. As part of brain rehabilitation and her healing work with neurologists, Carey-Ann was introduced to mindfulness. She experienced the profound impact of mindfulness with improved focus and clarity. After practicing mindfulness, Carey-Ann felt a greater sense of happiness and peace. And her career was also seeing the benefits. Carey-Ann was astonished to experience that mindfulness was helping her to accomplish more while actually doing less.

Carey-Ann began to share mindfulness tools with her clients and they too were experiencing major shifts in the way they began to live and lead.

Carey-Ann's story was featured in the business section of The Globe and Mail.

During Carey-Ann’s talk, she will cover:

    • What mindfulness really means along with interactive exercises audience members can use to be more mindful in their work and lives.

    • How mindfulness helps us gain greater self-awareness

    • How to leverage mindfulness to improve your relationships

    • How mindfulness techniques using the body, breath and mind help reduce stress

    • Tools for instantly gaining greater perspective to improve focus and be more strategic

“I invited Carey-Ann twice last year in the thick of COVID to speak to my workplace about living and leading with mindfulness. She was authentic, compassionate, and provided practical strategies that were easy to adopt. Carey-Ann gets it. She understands the complexities of work/life and shares her own experiences to empower you to think and live differently.”
